Debating Impact Of Health Care Reform Law
What did impress me about the debate between Mr. Nehring, former Chair Republican Party and Mr. Knoll of the Center for Health Care Education was when the latter expressed that the health care waiver would benefit 29,000 San Diego residents; certainly, a good start. I hope Mr. Knoll also cited the national statistics prior to the passage of health reform in 2010; they were, 47 million our our citizens who had no health insurance. Another 50 to 70 million had inadequate insurance -- insurance that would leave them bankrupt in the event of a major illness. That day has painfully arrived for many.
The U.S. ratified the Universal Delaration of Human Rights in 1948; among them were, health care.
