My wife and I are very disappointed that KPBS decided to go to a 24/7 news format with a heavy focus on BBC in the evening and night time. You have taken one of the best programs off the air - Performance Today. While I can understand that news is coming faster and people are more tuned into it, however Public Radio was suppose to bring to the 'public' the things that it should hear rather than just those things that popularity or sponsorship demanded.
I wonder why San Diego cannot have two Public Radio stations like the Traverse City, Michigan area has via Interlochen Public Radio where one station is all news and one station has predominately classical music with some selected NPR programs and news during the day time. The Traverse City listening area, Northwest Michigan, cannot have more than 200,000 people roughly 10% of San Diego County.
