San Diego Chargers Will Seek New Mayor's Backing For Stadium

Because Faulconer represents the 1%, here come the Chargers looking for corporate welfare on the scale of eight or nine digits. Forget it. Not happening. Build your own stadium.

New Calif. Law Adds 3-Foot Protection For Cyclists But Will It Make San Diego Roads Safe Enough?

This is the kind of planning you do BEFORE YOU BUILD A CITY. Trying to retrofit bike lanes by changing where the paint stripes are on a road is absurd, it's just laughable. On "Camino del Norte" near where I live they resurfaced it and then re-striped it, with bike lanes stuffed into the road. It's insane.

A few decades back, before this rabbit warren community was slapped together, THAT would have been the time to PLAN for bike paths and pedestrian walkways. As it is, both are afterthoughts. The whole area was slapped up as fast as possible without any imagination that I can discern. So we're trying to fix that somehow by changing the paint stripes on the roads? If this was a comedy, I'd love it. Otherwise...

Prison Fugitive From Mid-1970s Captured In San Diego

And..? So what? What was her crime, exactly? So we captured a 60-year old fugitive from alleged justice? Was this worth the effort?

Any of those "too big to fail" bankers been indicted yet? Even one single one of them? What about HBSC bank, the one that laundered millions of dollars in drug cartel money? Do they remain, somehow, "too big to prosecute"?

But we nailed this senior citizen whom I imagine would have liked nothing more than to keep her youthful screw-up forgotten. Way to go.

San Diego Sued Over 'Foul Odor' of Sea Lion And Bird Poop at La Jolla Cove

This is absurd. Anchor a barge for these creatures to excrete upon and reclaim the Cove for human use. Are we all hippie-dippie-can't-hurt-a-housefly? Clean them out lock, stock and barrel. Snap out of it, people.

btw importing great white sharks (an idea from an earlier comment on this page) has real merit.

Art is meant to challenge, not to be decoration.

California Girls Aren't The Only Ones Saying Everything Like It's A Question?

Maddening affectation. Do people really need buy-in on EVERY SENTENCE THEY UTTER? I'd say this is a sign of mental illness -- total insecurity.

Teen 'Sexting' Could Result In Criminal Charges, San Diego Police Say

"Could result in CHARGES" over the decades I have noticed that cops love arresting anyone they can arrest for any kind of "sex crime" they can dream up. I won't go into the sordid details. But they're WAY too enthusiastic about it. Rather than counseling and discretion, whom in their right mind would consider "CHARGES" against some kid with a cell phone camera? The police, apparently.

School Officials Look Into Serra High Blackface Incident

Does "Lei-Chala Wilson" even REMEMBER the much-beloved Jamaican bobsled team? I don't see where any JAMAICANS are complaining, nor do I hear much whining from any BOBSLED competitors. Perhaps someone is taking themselves way too seriously. If these gentlemen had dressed up as, say, the President of an NAACP chapter and found fault with various non-politically-correct issues they could find (in order to define their existence), maybe there would be reason to complain... BECAUSE THOSE WOULD BE UN-FUNNY HALLOWEEN COSTUMES.

Jamaican Bobsled team member costumes? Brilliant. "Lei-Chala" -- take a hike.
