Hillary Clinton Popular Attraction At Warwick's In La Jolla

I enjoyed the story from another city and another book signing -- someone with a copy of her book stood in line and then asked that the book be inscribed "To Chris Stevens". Hillary refused. Too bad.

Poll: Half Of Californians Still Support Obama

2,000 citizens? HALF support Obama? That sounds cherry-picked. Obama himself must marvel at what a lemon he's been. That Nobel Peace Prize must feel like the albatross from the Rime of the Ancient Mariner by this time.

Netanyahu Says Israel Has Proof Hamas Is Behind Kidnapping Of Teens

Israel is not to be trusted, period. That is one alliance the US would be far better without. The slobbering fealty some US politicians display towards Israel is bizarre, to say the least. Are the three missing Israeli teenagers being held in the King David Hotel, if you get my meaning?

Common Core Education Standards Rolled Out Early In Chula Vista

Oh, really? This sounds like someone sitting inside in a windowless room writing about how blue the sky is. Teachers detest "Common Core". It's yet another top-down idea, in the style of Mao Tse Tung et cetera. FOLLOW THE MONEY. And don't buy a single word about how "Common Core" was developed WITH teachers or WITH school districts. It was cooked up IN SECRET by a very small group of The Usual Suspects and then imposed and/or sweetened with promises of cash to get school districts and states to go along with it. Several states have completely rejected the idea so far. The more you learn about "Common Core," the less you will like it!

Pelosi Praises High-Speed Rail Funding

I'm guessing that no one has paid any attention the the NOISE this colossal waste of public fund will generate. There's no where to hide from the noise.

Will Pelosi not be termed out at some point? She and Feinstein are parodies of themselves by this point. How is it they're still in office?

Obama, Pelosi In La Jolla For Fundraiser At Qualcomm Co-Founder’s House

$10,000 per person? Seems pretty steep, doesn't it?

What Would A 'Frictionless Border' Between San Diego And Tijuana Look Like?

Impressively shameless. I love all the feathery buzzwords, and the phrase "greatly accelerate binational economic growth and prosperity" is a gem. Meanwhile, back on Earth, what this woman is talking about is taking advantage of our third-world neighbor to the south, the utter lack of environmental law, absence of organized labor and worker's rights -- and, gee, how would this provide employment for regular US citizens? Or are they just excluded from this corporate wet dream? Someone got paid to dream up the "frictionless border" concept? Have they ever worked a single day in their life, or has it all been corporate fluffing? "We need to re-imagine the border region and ask ourselves how we can make it more amenable to the interests of the 1% in the USA." Amazing.

Documentary Examines Suspicious 1970 Death Of LA Times Journalist Ruben Salazar

I understood that it was clear that the LAPD had murdered Salazar with a tear gas canister fired at his head. Am I mistaken?

Ratepayer Group: Proposed Settlement Of San Onofre Nuclear Costs 'Theft'

What a surprise. Remember that nuclear energy was supposed to be "too cheap to meter" -- somehow that was just hot air to get public support to build the plants. So ratepayers absorb a few billion dollars to keep SDGE happy -- is that "too cheap to meter"?

Greenhouse Gas Levels Surpass Troublesome Milestone

Is this one of those "man made" climate changes pitches that leads to a "carbon credit" economic bubble? Because that sounds like just another economic scam.
