Hello, I’m Pierre Habis of Union Bank. Diversity is one of Union Bank’s most closely held values. This is why we are proud to honor Local Heroes in celebration of Black History Month. Now, let’s meet one of our honorees. MARTHA LOGAN: We are the Logans. I’m Martha and this is my husband Theo. I am very proud to have been married to him for over 53 years. THEO LOGAN: We came to San Diego in 1962. I almost immediately went into the Real Estate business. MARTHA: He’s been the person who everyone will come to in the community to say, well we need money for an ad, or we need to sponsor a team., and Theo has always been very supportive in that manner. THEO: We are proud too of the contacts we have made in the community, in churches and other organizations and we can see the progress that has been made in these areas in the community. MARTHA: It was important for us to stay here in the southeast San Diego area because it was necessary for us to bring our talents and whatever we could to the community. I thank God for the blessings that we have had and our life together. ANNOUNCER: This moment has been made possible by Union Bank in partnership with KPBS
