Free Family Art Day: Make Your Family Flag

Make art at Oceanside Museum of Art during our Free Family Art Day August 1 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Children and their parents work closely in the creative process designing small works of art that reflect concepts and themes from the exhibitions on view.

Families are invited to come to the Museum and make a Family Flag full of symbols that represent their family. View the Painting World War II: The California Style Watercolor Artists exhibition and see how the American Flag served as a symbol of strength and pride for the Military of San Diego.

Healthy refreshments will be provided. No art experience is necessary, all material are provided.

During Free Family Art Day visitors can see four exhibitions on view at the museum: Painting World War II: The California Watercolor Style Artists, Defying Expectations: Contemporary Native American Art from the San Diego Region, Looking Back / Moving Forward: Contemporary Mexican American Art, and Intimate Views: West Coast Drawing.
