Create a miniature quilt ornament out of fabric scraps, cardboard, Styrofoam balls and CDs at the next Free Family Art Day at the Oceanside Museum of Art on Sunday, Dec. 5 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Making a quilt ornament has never been so easy with our fun activities and safe techniques that engage all ages. Three projects have been designed including the quilted ball activity, the hanging cardboard quilt, and the CD quilt ornament.

At Free Family Art Day children and their parents work closely in the artistic process designing small works of art that reflect concepts and themes from the exhibitions on view. At every Free Family Art Day healthy refreshments are provided. No art experience is necessary and all materials are provided. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy four exhibitions on view at the museum. Free Family Art Day is made possible by the James Irvine Foundation.

Please visit www.oma-online.org for more information or call the museum at 760-435-3720.
