About Art After Dark:
OMA currently holds four Art After Dark events a year, each inspired by a different theme that often relates to the museum’s exhibitions. The most recent event on June 17th 2011, a tribute to The Beatles, had an attendance of over 750 patrons. Art After Dark is designed to attract a lively young adult audience interested in broadening their understanding and appreciation of art. Charged with live music, art performances, creative stations, stunning thematic art and delectable food and beverages, guests enjoy an artistic sensory overload.
In addition, guests will also have the opportunity to view five art exhibitions during the Art After Dark event on Friday, October 28, 2011: "Memento Mori: Remember Your Mortality," "It’s Not My Fault: The Art of Everett Peck," "Transitions: Works by Francoise Gilot," "The Matter of Space: Cathy Breslaw" and "We Can Work it Out: Becky Guttin."
The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday 1 to 4 pm. Admission is $8, $5 for seniors and free for students and military.
