When the weather heats up and kids get out of school, the Museum of Making Music knows it’s time to start getting ready for Summer Music Camp.

This year’s camp is scheduled for July 16 – 20, from 9 a.m. to noon each day.

Over the course of the week, campers ages 9 through 18 gain experience on drumset, hand drums, hand percussion, guitar, bass and piano in a positive, dynamic learning environment.

Students and parents of all ages are invited to attend the free Summer Camp Preview on April 28, 2012 for an interactive drumming workshop in preparation for summer camp. Participants will experience an energized sample of camp activities, and meet camp instructor Ed Roscetti.

Ed Roscetti is a drummer, composer, author and clinician. He has been a core curriculum author and educator for more than 30 years at the Musician’s Institute and schools in Hollywood and Japan. Roscetti has composed and performed music for numerous records, TV shows and films, including Disney’s “Mostly Ghostly,” “Saturday Night Live” and works for the History Channel.
