Learn about the history of the San Diego Art Scene in the 1980s during an education lecture by artist Jay Johnson on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
After completing a B.A. in sculpture at San Diego State University, Johnson became an integral part of the first wave of artists to open alternative exhibition spaces in downtown San Diego during the early 1980s prior to the development of the Gaslamp Quarter.
The lecture is free for OMA members and complimentary with museum admission. No reservations are necessary and seating is limited to 125 people.
