Alternate Reality Game Begins At The San Diego Central Library

The new San Diego Central Library is adventuring with fans of all ages and types this summer as a lead up to the legendary San Diego Comic-Con International.

An alternate reality game, or ARG, inspired by the works of American literary icon H.P. Lovecraft is taking place each day from now through July 24.

This free game is open to all but is recommended for those ages 12 and up. Clues appear at the library that lead intrepid investigators into the machinations of a diabolical alien presence!

Each week, new chapters are unveiled. This game is one continuous narrative that culminates during Comic-Con, but players can join at any time.

The Central Library will also host its Adventures in Fandom series of programs featuring different fan groups on Thursday nights at 6:00 pm from June 19 through July 3: A Star Trek author talk June 19, Siar Geata Amtgard medieval live action role playing June 26, and a Steampunk fair on July 3.

Indulge your inner fan, pack your imagination and climb aboard for a thrilling summer of gaming and fandom!
