Monthly Open Shakespeare Reading: The Tempest

Considered on the Shakespeare’s greatest work, "The Tempest" is set on a remote island, where Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, plots to restore his daughter Miranda to her rightful place using illusion and skillful manipulation. Notable for its ideas on colonization and encounters between cultures. Cherie Peacock of San Diego Shakespeare Society leads our merry journey through the landscape of Shakespeare.

Presented in conjunction with the 2014 One Book One San Diego reading campaign.
