Opening Reception: Guardian Spirits

Guardian Spirits is an exhibition of select pieces of African art from the San Diego Mesa College permanent collection. These pieces embody ancestral energy that ensures the health, sanctity and prosperity of their respective communities. The materials, design, and spiritual symbolism demonstrate the beauty that is inherent in African sculpture and the rich cultural heritage of the people of this continent. The exhibition will be on view at the San Diego Central Library from October 4 - December 17, 2015, on the 1st floor in the Dickinson Popular Library.

Opening Reception:
Wednesday, Oct. 7th at 6 p.m. in theNeil Morgan Auditorium
