Pride And Prejudice 'Latino Americans 500 Years of History' Film Screening

LATINO AMERICANS is the first major documentary series for TV to chronicle the history of Latinos in the U.S. This episode shows how a generation of Mexican-Americans, frustrated by persistent discrimination and poverty, find a new way forward through social action and the building of a new “Chicano” identity. Professor Justin Akers, from San Diego City College, will facilitate a discussion after the screening.

LATINO AMERICANS: 500 YEARS OF HISTORY has been made possible through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association.
