Fei Mu, director of this classic of Chinese cinema, drew inspiration for his aesthetic from the practice of traditional Chinese painting. The story focuses on Dai Liyan and his family, who have fallen on hard times following World War II and face new challenges when an unexpected visitor from their past arrives.

This summer sit under the stars and enjoy the 1984 Chinese cinema classic Spring in a Small Town (not rated).
