The Beat Farmers was one of San Diego's most beloved local bands, thanks to its eccentric leader, Country Dick Montana.

The drummer and singer died of a heart attack in 1995. He was on stage in Canada performing "The Girl I Almost Married." The Beat Farmers broke up three days later. Guitarist Buddy Blue died of a heart attack in 2006.

The remaining band members reunite once a year in celebration of Country Dick and Buddy Blue.

This year, the 20th anniversary of Country Dick's death, features musicians Jerry Raney, Joel Kmak, Joey Harris, and Rolle Love, along with many friends of the band.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door. Reserved seating is available for $35. For details call (858) 481-8140.

Dates and times of events are subject to change without notice. Always check the event organizer's website for the most updated schedule before attending. Check local COVID-19 restrictions and updates.
