'On The Chocolate Trail'

Culinary Historians of San Diego will present "On the Chocolate Trail," featuring Debbie R. Prinz, at 10:30 a.m. on January 21, in the Neil Morgan Auditorium of the San Diego Central Library.

Prinz promises to illustrate the ways faith traditions share consumption, ritual and business interests in chocolate over many centuries, countries and cultures.

Prinz is the author of the book, "On the Chocolate Trail: A Delicious Adventure Connecting Jews, Religions, History, Travel, Rituals and Recipes to the Magic of Cacao," which is in its third printing. She was awarded a Starkoff Fellowship from the American Jewish Archives and a Director's Fellowship from the Rockefeller Library to pursue her research on the subject during travels in seven countries and three continents. She blogs at The Huffington Post, and lectures around the country.

The event is free and open to the public.
