W2W: Writers To Watch - CANCELLED


R.J. Belle will be speaking on Perseverance in Life and Writing, November 4 from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Mary Hollis Clark Conference Room on the first floor next to the library store. Her talk is part of the Writers to Watch Program sponsored by the Friends of the Central Library .

R.J. Belle began writing as a teenager as a way to express her creative side. After spending fifteen years in the lending industry, she left her career to write full time and published the thriller “First One Down,” introducing Detective Paul Sutton. The second novel in the series will release in late 2017.

R.J. has also written “After: The Battle Has Just Begun,” eight true stories of combat-injured service members who sustained life-altering injuries and the impacts on the caregivers who support these men. 100% of the proceeds from this book benefit Warrior Foundation~Freedom Station.

She is also the author of “Transfer Of Pain: After Suicide, A Journey Of Healing,” about her personal grief journey after the loss of her father to suicide.

R.J. lives in Southern California with her family. She works on her detective skills by finding her daughter’s lost Shopkins and investigating when her English Bulldogs bark at night. She enjoys writing, reading, running, and coffee.
