San Diego Public Library’s Downtown Chess program proudly presents international grandmaster Tatev Abrahamyan for a festive afternoon of chess history and exhibition.
Ms. Abrahamyan will participate in exhibition matches with local players and answer questions about her career in chess.
Chess historian Peter Hodges will give a brief presentation on Armenian chess champions and Armenia as the only country with compulsory chess instruction in its school curriculum.
Matches will be projected live on a movie screen to enhance audience participation.
