SD Jewish Film Festival Presents 'Heather Booth: Changing The World'

Social justice warriors: meet your matriarch. Heather Booth is the most influential civil rights organizer you have never heard of. Participants in this eye-opening documentary include Gloria Steinem, Elizabeth Warren, and President Barack Obama.

For more than 50 years, wherever there was a fight for equality, Heather Booth was there: from her start as an organizer living on a kibbutz in Israel to helping Senator Warren create the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Ms. Booth is, simply put, America’s conscience.

Guest speakers: Heather Booth (film subject), and Lilly Rivlin (film director).

Awards: Three Israeli Academy Awards Nominations, 2016 | Best Cinematography, Haifa International FF 2016
