This director’s past films—"A Matter Of Size" and "Wounded Land"——have been big hits with San Diego Jewish Film Festival audiences.

Tadmor will continue that trend with "Home Port," which secured three Ophir nominations (Israel’s Oscars) in 2016, and has captivated audiences with its gritty realism and stellar performances.

A captain of commercial ships returns home to manage a seaport, but finds more turbulence on land as the port is rife with corruption. Our protagonist must either learn to play ball or to get out of the game.

Loosely based on contemporary events, the film merges a family drama with recent headlines, and grabs you from start to finish.

Awards: Three Israeli Academy Awards Nominations 2016 | Best Cinematography, Haifa International Film Festival 2016
