This award-winning film may be hard for some viewers to categorize. It’s the true story of an Austrian-born artist whose parents, to his shame, joined the Nazi Party.

As he grew older, he made it his life’s mission to render in charcoal the portraits of children killed in the death camps. But it’s also the story of what motivates a person to make art in the first place, and what leads him to change to seek a deeper understanding of his personal history and our shared humanity.

Viewers curious about the path of an artist and scholars of history will both find something deeply rewarding in "Drawing Against Oblivion."

Contains some concentration camp photos.

Awards: Best International Documentary, Garden State Film Festival.

Dates and times of events are subject to change without notice. Always check the event organizer's website for the most updated schedule before attending.
