10th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Of Interfaith Service

Join people of different faiths and cultural backgrounds in interfaith community service in Balboa Park, part of the National Day of Service in memory of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Help beautify a local treasure, Balboa Park, during a morning of hands-on community service, fun and fellowship.

Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. at the corner of Quince St. and Balboa Dr. in Balboa Park.

The group will work outdoors clearing and hauling brush, mulching and planting.

What to Bring:
- Work gloves.
- Pruning tools (if possible). Tools will also be provided.
- Your signed waiver form (Click HERE for a PDF of the waiver. Waiver is mandatory for those under 18-years-old and those under 16-years-old must be accompanied by an adult.)
- If desired, your picnic lunch can be left in your car close to the picnic area.
- Any additional picnic food or beverages you may want. Complimentary hot dogs and chips provided. (Your picnic can be left in your car close to the picnic area)
- Blanket or chairs for the picnic.

What to Wear:
- Long-sleeved shirt
- Long pants
- Closed toe work shoes
- Goggles

You are invited to stay for musical entertainment and complementary picnic lunch of hot dogs and chips at 11:30 a.m.
