Festival Orchestra Finale!

The final of three 2018 Festival Orchestra concerts with award-winning Artistic Director and Conductor Alyze Dreiling takes place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 15 at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido and presents internationally-renowned guitarist Angel Romero performing Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez.

The concert opens with Faure’s Prelude to Pelleas and Melissande. Sibelius’ Symphony No. 2 fills the second half of the concert.

The concert is preceded at 3 p.m. by a performance of the City Heights Mariachi directed by Mario Eguia, serving to promote free Mariachi Workshops at CCAE on July 21 and Aug. 4.

The Festival Orchestra is a summer music program of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (YPO), a non-profit arts organization dedicated to enhancing the musical, social and intellectual growth of young musicians of all ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds, through inspired instruction, dynamic ensemble rehearsals and exceptional performances.
