Carlsbad Starring Artists: Pulling Back The Curtain

The City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts Office launches a new program that takes audiences on a journey through the minds of performing artists.

Three artists will be featured and at each session, audiences will hear about the art-making process and what drives local creative people to pursue their chosen field.

The evening includes a Q&A session with KPBS/Arts editor Nina Garin, as well as a live performance.

The Starring Artists Schedule features:

Exploring Teatro Pueblo Nuevo: Saturday, Jan. 13
Featuring director Herbert Siguenza and actor Nadia Guevara.

Traversing the Americas: Saturday, March 10
Travel across the continent with music performed by violinist Branden Muresan and composer and guitarist Eric Foster, including one of Foster’s original compositions.

Dance in Life: Saturday, May 12
Go behind the scenes with Jean Isaacs and Sadie Weinberg, renowned local choreographers and dancers from San Diego Dance Theater.
