The Museum of Making Music's Summer Sounds Symposium kicks off with a keynote talk from Dr. Steven Eisenberg, a medical oncologist and co-founder of cCare.

After a near-death experience as a teenager, Dr. Eisenberg decided to dedicate his life to saving others. He believes that music, humor and heart can transform a patient’s journey and uses songs to connect with his patients.

Dr. Eisenberg will then be joined by a panel of experts to discuss the various ways we make healthy connections through music. Topics include music making across the lifespan, healing through music, music listening for Alzheimer’s/dementia patients and the overall benefits of making music.

Speakers from Music and Memory, Guitars in the Classroom and more will share their expertise and answer questions from the audience.

Dates and times of events are subject to change without notice. Always check the event organizer's website for the most updated schedule before attending.
