KPBS Investigative Reporter Amita Sharma hosts a panel with local experts on navigating the golden years in California.

Dr. Donna Benton, Research Associate Professor of Gerontology, USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology (above, left)

Dr. Benton is a licensed clinical psychologist. Her research focuses on elder abuse and minority caregiving.

Betsy Butler, Executive Director, California Women's Law Center (above, second)

Betsy Butler is the chair of the California Commission on Aging. She previously served in the State Assembly where she worked to address the needs of veterans, older Americans, working families, the environment, and consumer rights.

Paul Downey, President & CEO, Serving Seniors (above, third)

As head of Serving Seniors, Paul Downey oversees the agency's wrap-around wellness services, nutrition programs, and advocacy efforts. He has participated in the White House Conference on Aging and currently serves as a public policy committee member for the American Society on Aging.

Kevin Prindiville, Executive Director, Justice in Aging (above, right)

As a nationally recognized expert on Medicare and Medicaid policy, Kevin Prindiville has a long history of developing partnerships and directing strategic advocacy on behalf of low-income seniors. Prindiville is on the Board of Directors of the American Society on Aging.
