Join Stay Cool for Grandkids next Friday, October 11 at 6:30 p.m. for updates on climate-change effects on Southern California wildfires, along with discussion of necessary land-use policies.

Our Speakers:

James Randerson, PhD, is a Professor in Earth System Science at the University of California, Irvine. His research covers climate-carbon cycle feedbacks, fires, land cover changes, deforestation, changes in arctic and boreal ecosystems, and climate policy.

Bob Leiter, FAICP, will report findings from the San Diego Regional Report of the 2018 Fourth California Climate Change Assessment and discuss recommendations in a new study from the American Planning Association, Regional Water Planning for Climate Resilience.

We're meeting at Founders Hall on the beautiful campus of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Dieguito. Come early to catch the sunset over the ocean! We'll have doors open by 6 p.m., with hors d'oeuvres and drinks ready.
