Culinary Historians of San Diego will present “What’s So Controversial About GMO Foods?,” featuring John T. Lang, at 10:30 a.m. in the Neil Morgan Auditorium of the San Diego Central Library.
Dr. Lang will explore the science — and myth — that surrounds the most bitterly innovation in agriculture.
John T. Lang is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Occidental College in Los Angeles. His major interest is the sociological study of food, which serves as a lens for investigating key questions of consumption, culture and trust.
A tasting and book signing will follow the presentation.
