OMA Art Auction Exhibition & Party - POSTPONED

  • WHERE Oceanside Museum of Art, 704 Pier View Way, Oceanside, CA
    Map | Website
  • AGES All ages
  • COST $8 - $125

OMA will be temporarily closed to the public starting March 16. Leadership had hoped to keep the museum open for those who wished to experience art as a source of comfort and inspiration, however, we believe it is essential to limit social contact to help curb this quickly evolving health crisis.

Over 100 works by notable artists will be up for bidding during this fun and festive event that is equal parts exhibition, auction, and party. It’s a great opportunity to add exceptional art for both aspiring and established collectors.

The Exhibition: March 7–28, 2020
Admission: $8

As a preview to the auction on March 28, all of the artwork will be on view for three weeks prior to the event in an exhibition open to the public for the price of museum admission. Those unable to attend the auction can register to place bids through 5 p.m. on March 28 and/or make arrangements for a proxy to attend the auction.

The Auction & Party
March 28, 6–9:30 p.m.
Tickets: general admission $50, VIP $125

OMA’s Art Auction promises artwork that is lively—sometimes edgy, sometimes traditional, frequently unexpected—but never ordinary. This is an exceptional opportunity to collect pieces from prominent Southern California artists in price ranges that are approachable for collectors at any level.

The VIP experience gets the party started. VIP benefits include a preview reception from 6–7 p.m. with complimentary cocktails, elevated hors d’ oeuvres, and priority checkout and artwork wrapping, as well as a special gift. VIP guests will also have an exclusive “buy it now” option to acquire their favorite pieces before the auction opens to general admission.

General admission guests will enjoy an artful evening surrounded by a rare gathering of notable artists and their work. Whether or not you plan to take home a new piece of art, the night will be full of good friends, good music, and amazing art to appreciate and enjoy—plus food, beer, wine, and cocktails.
