The title of this November workshop is in parallel with John Lewis’ book Walking with the Wind. That book was offered as a topic by a poet from October’s class on Poems of Politics and Election Day Voting II.

Lewis’ book was about walking in the wind of history. November’s poetry workshop with Jim Moreno is a poem-making experience where poets walk in the winds of change from our nation’s choices in the presidential election.

The not-so-seasoned poets in October’s class held their own with poets who have attended poetry workshops for years and some who are published. Jim Moreno said that at the end of class he asked 8 poets what topics they might want to write about in November. Here are their suggestions: What’s next?, Women as Leaders, Women’s voices and where do we go from here, Lewis’ book, The Divine Feminine, Love Poetry, Creation Stories, Holidays as More Challenging, Thanksgiving, Whose sitting at the table, Whose missing?, What about the seat that’s missing?
