Mental health can be a hard topic to talk about and for some cultures, it can go ignored. KPBS reporter Tania Thorne moderates a community question and answer session with a panel of experts on mental health and the Latinx community. This question and answer session is a follow-up to Tania’s reporting on some of the barriers preventing some in the Latinx community from seeking mental health help.

Guests include: Lizeth Ma, marriage and family therapist; Luis Canseco, domestic violence education and prevention specialist at the Community Resource Center; Roy Inzunza, who has navigated the mental health system personally and now offers short-term emotional/spiritual help to corporate employees.

Join the virtual event at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 13 on the KPBS Facebook page or KPBS YouTube channel. Bring your questions for the panelists.

Dates and times of events are subject to change without notice. Always check the event organizer's website for the most updated schedule before attending. Check local COVID-19 restrictions and updates.
