'Identity/Antiquity'

The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library is pleased to announce “Identity/Antiquity,” an exhibition featuring works by college educators Alessandra Moctezuma and Hilary Paul McGuire.

Moctezuma’s and McGuire’s works are linked by a common need to express ideas based on their experiences as art educators. For both artists, art is a way to enhance everyday life and to explore means of communicating responses to current socio-political events. “Identity/Antiquity” will feature drawing, painting, mixed media, and sculpture.

The exhibition will be on view from April 16 through May 30, 2019, at the Athenaeum Art Center in Logan Heights.

An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, April 13 from 6-8 p.m.

An artist walk-through is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, at 7 p.m.

Dates and times of events are subject to change without notice. Always check the event organizer's website for the most updated schedule before attending.
