About the exhibition
"GHIDORAH LIVES!" uncovers Asian American identity that spans across various politics and experiences. During Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, we celebrate the labors of love from organizers, artists, and community members of the past, present, and future.
Taking inspiration from the pages of the '60s anti-imperialist zine "Gidra", the objective is to give visibility to the Asian American movement towards collective + intersectional liberation and call attention to the unique and diverse Asian American experiences in a time of social change.

The exhibition offers a reflection and a discovery of the nuanced relationships Asian Americans have with land+space, bodies+gender, histories+migration, media+propaganda, and their overall roles within social movements and activism.
Corresponding with the show will be a zine release, exclusive poster, and an archival print project!
