Saturday, June 16, pianist Anne-Marie McDermott joins the All-Star Orchestra to perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25. Works by Beethoven and Michael Abels round out the program. The following night, Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18, violinist Karen Gomyo, hailed by the New York Times as “extraordinary”, performs Brahms’ Violin Concerto in a program also featuring Mozart’s Grande Fantaisie in C minor.

Tuesday, June 20, the Orchestra moves indoors for an intimate chamber orchestra performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 at The Conrad in La Jolla. On Thursday, June 22 the new, open-air Epstein Family Amphitheater at UC San Diego hosts the Orchestra for Mozart’s beloved Marriage of Figaro and Magic Flute Overtures, Saint-Saëns Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso featuring Martin Chalifour, violin, and the Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2 with soloist Chelsea Guo.
