"[A] Portrait Of People In Motion" is a community focused exhibition that honors migration stories of Americans, both new and long-established by artist-in-Residence Kerianne Quick. San Diego residents were invited to share meaningful objects related to their story; painting a portrait of our city through objects brought on – or left behind during – an international or domestic migration journey.

On view concurrently with the museum’s annual Day of the Dead installation. This year’s Day of the Dead installation will honor the legends of Mexico’s Lucha Libre wrestling, which was named a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage in 2018.
