30th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival
Celebrating 30 Years of Community Support, Empowering Latino Youth in Cinema
From March 9-19, 2023, the Media Arts Center San Diego proudly presents the 30th annual San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) at the Westfield Mission Valley AMC Theater.
In its milestone 30th year, the SDLFF celebrates Latino filmmakers, actors, and artists who labor to advance the art of Latino cinema while also investing in the younger audiences that represent its future. Free "¡Tu Cine!" screenings are geared toward introducing a new generation to the inspirational and immersive experience of the silver screen. The SDLFF creates an environment in which youth can fall in love with the magic of the movie theater as an enduring legacy of filmmaking.
Plus, for the first time in its history, ticket holders can enjoy live music and top-rated local food as they browse a curated Arte Latino market (“mercado”) showcasing one-of-a-kind collections from local Latino artists and vendors. All attendees are invited to join in the lively, interactive experience festival goers have come to expect, with several exclusive opportunities to converse with the creators and actors behind their favorite films from this year’s event.

Festival Village

Location: Westfield Mission Valley courtyard in front of AMC Mission Valley 20 / 1640 Camino Del Rio North, San Diego, CA 92108. The Festival Village, in front of AMC Theatres, will feature artists, artisans, community partners, sponsors, interactive elements and more!
Festival Lounge & “Community Hub”
Dates: March 9 – 19/ 2 P.M. – 10 P.M.
Location: Westfield Mission Valley courtyard in front of AMC Mission Valley 20 (former Ruby’s Diner space) / 1640 Camino Del Rio North, San Diego, CA 92108. The Festival Lounge, in front of AMC Theatres, will house local artists, vendors, DJ, lite bites & spirits, art gallery motifs, lounge areas, sponsors, interactive elements, celebrity interview headquarters and more!
Arte Latino Gallery & “Mercado”
Dates: March 9–12 & March 17-19 / 2 P.M. – 10 P.M.
Location: Westfield Mission Valley Mall (in front of Macy’s building inside old Tilted Kilt venue) / 1640 Camino Del Rio North, San Diego, CA 92108. The Arte Latino Gallery space and Mercado will feature artists, artisans, interactive elements w/LIVE art exhibits and more!
Sonido Latino Stage - Daily Live Music & Entertainment
Date: March 9 – 19 / 5 P.M. – 9 P.M.
Location: Westfield Mission Valley Mall (Festival Village @ AMC Courtyard) / 1640 Camino Del Rio North, San Diego, CA 92108. The Sonido Latino Stage will come to life and energize the Festival Village with Latin sounds daily from 5pm-9pm!
Sabor Latino: Food, Beer & Wine Festival
Date: Saturday, March 11 / 2:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M.
Location: Westfield Mission Valley Mall (East Courtyard next to Papaya Clothing) / 1640 Camino Del Rio North, San Diego, CA 9210. ‘Sabor Latino – Food, Beer & Wine Fest’ brings a unique branding and pairing of the best Latin cuisine in San Diego with the finest breweries and wineries in both San Diego and Baja California, Mexico. Plus, attendees will enjoy unique interactive activations & live entertainment!
CLOSING NIGHT CONCERT w/ SONORA DINAMITA & Awards Ceremony
