San Diego Musical Theatre stages "Sister Act," a feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film.

When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she goes into hiding at the one place she won’t be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with the convent's rigid lifestyle and the uptight Mother Superior.

Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover.

Filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing and a truly moving story, "Sister Act" was written by Alan Menken, Glenn Slater and Cheri and Bill Steinkellner.

The SDMT production is directed by Larry Raben and choreographed by Luke Harvey Jacobs, with musical direction by Don LeMaster. It runs April 26 through May 26, 2019. For additional details call the box office at (833) 428-0956.

Dates and times of events are subject to change without notice. Always check the event organizer's website for the most updated schedule before attending.
