San Diego Horse Fire continues to burn: Residents on standby

Nearly 1,000 firefighters are attacking the San Diego Horse Fire that continues to burn near Alpine. Hundreds of residents in Pine Valley and Lake Morena remain on standby. KPBS reporter Dwane Brown h

Authorities say a wildfire that forced the evacuation of more than 100 homes near the border may have been caused by an abandoned campfire set by illegal immigrants. The Forest Service says the fire appears to have spread early Saturday. It prompted sheriff's deputies to order 125 homes evacuated in Alpine Sunday. People who live in Pine Valley and Lake Morena have been told to remain on standby.
