Chapter Synopsis
Their drive through the desert is a thoroughly boring one. They flip through radio channels, of which none Nayeli can understand and eventually turn it off. They stop at the world’s largest thermometer, another pit stop Matt had them promise to make. They are confused and unimpressed by it. They stop at Mad Greek’s for the best milkshakes in California. Tacho is annoyed with Nayeli for being so moody about the whole situation with Yolo and Matt. The pair arrives in Las Vegas. They walk the strip and buy a disposable camera snapping pictures left and right. They go into a casino and lose $125. Nayeli has to peel Tacho away from the slots. They spend the night in a motel off the strip and in the morning continue on their journey.
