Ship repair workers took a break in their day on Friday when they delivered 700 toys to needy children in San Diego neighborhood Barrio Logan.

The toys were given to Barrio Station, a non-profit community center that serves more than 2,500 children between the ages of six and 18.

Members of the San Diego Ship Repair Association have been hosting toy drives for disadvantaged children for 20 years.

"The employees and management collect toys and bring them to us," said Rachael Ortiz, executive director of Barrio Station. "I think it's a wonderful thing that they do. This comes from everyone there."

The toys will be given out to about 400 families on Tuesday, Dec. 16 during a Christmas party.
