Crews Move Quickly To Put Out Fire In Volcan Mountain Area

UPDATE: 5 p.m., July 11, 2016

Crews have called back the air tankers that were helping extinguish the roughly 15-acre brush fire in the Volcan Mountain area, near Julian, according to Cal Fire. Ground and helicopters crews remain at the scene, dousing hot spots. The blaze caused no reported structural damage or injuries.

Ground and airborne crews were working to contain a roughly two-acre brush fire in the Volcan Mountain area, near Julian, Cal Fire said Monday afternoon.

There are no reports of structural threats. The personnel are staging off the 4000 block of Farmers Road.
