UPDATE: 12:20 a.m., June 6, 2018

Republican Bonnie Dumanis and Democrat Nathan Fletcher have secured their spots in the November general election for the Supervisors District 4 race.

With 71 percent of precincts reporting, Fletcher is in the lead with 28.8 percent and Dumanis trails slightly behind with 28.18 percent.

Fletcher told KPBS that results show constituents are tired of an all-Republican Board of Supervisors. He specifically slammed officials for voting to give themselves pay raises, and for their support of the Trump administration's lawsuit against California's so-called sanctuary laws.

"Tonight's message from the voters is overwhelming, and it's clear they're ready for change," Fletcher said.
