A Showcase of Classical, Jazz and Americana Selections From the Gifted Violinist

Filmed at Hahn Hall at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, “An Evening With Lucia Micarelli” showcases the violinist’s versatile and dynamic talent in an evening of music that moves from classical to jazz to traditional fiddle music and Americana.

A superb classical musician praised by The Wall Street Journal for her “heart-melting talent,” Micarelli is recognized throughout the world as a featured soloist with Josh Groban, Chris Botti, Jethro Tull, and for her starring role on the critically acclaimed HBO series TREME.

These diverse influences all come together in "An Evening With Lucia Micarelli."

Known for her trademark emotional vulnerability and technical wizardry, Micarelli performs pieces near and dear to her heart, charming the audience with stories and insight between songs.

Selections include the traditional fiddle tune “Ladies Fancy,” the Steve Earle penned “This City” and the jazz classic “Will O’ the Wisp,” made famous by Miles Davis.

Micarelli also covers material from the Great American Songbook, including “Someone To Watch Over Me” and “Nature Boy,” and performs classical compositions from Maurice Ravel, John Corigliano and Jean Sibelius.
