The Centro Cultural de la Raza's mission is to create, preserve, promote and provide educational programming on Chicano, Mexicano, Latino and indigenous art and culture. But over the years, the Centro has struggled with leadership and financial problems. Now, there's an effort underway to revive the space and introduce new arts programming, exhibitions and events.
