A pair of weak, low-pressure systems could bring scattered showers to San Diego County Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The first system will move inland across Southern California Thursday and could begin dropping rain this morning, forecasters said.

Around one-tenth of an inch of rain is expected near the coast and in the mountains Thursday and Friday, while up to two-tenths of an inch could fall in the inland valleys and less than one-tenth of an inch is forecast for the deserts, according to the NWS.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain everywhere except the deserts Thursday, but that will increase to a 50 percent chance tonight, forecasters said.

High temperatures Thursday will be 63 to 68 degrees at the beaches and inland, 65 in the western valleys, 58 to 63 near the foothills, 53 to 61 in the mountains and 75 to 80 degrees in the deserts.

The systems are expected to clear the region by late Friday night, then temperatures will warm over the weekend, forecasters said.
