U-T: Violent Crime In San Diego On The Decline, But Not In All City Neighborhoods

San Diego is consistently ranked among the safest large cities in the country.

But while violent crime in the city decreased 1.5 percent overall, it increased by as much as 450 percent in San Diego's Bay Terraces community. That’s according to analysis done by The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Greg Moran, an investigative reporter at the Union-Tribune, was part of the team that analyzed crime data to find areas in the city that have seen an increase in violent crimes, including rape, robbery and aggravated assault.
