Two people in Imperial County have tested positive for coronavirus, according to the Imperial County Public Health Department and the El Centro Regional Medical Center.

The positive test results were confirmed on Wednesday by the San Diego Public Health Department. They are considered presumptive positive tests until confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The two people who tested positive are a husband and wife who were exposed to the virus while traveling in Florida, Imperial County Public Health Officer Dr. Stephen Munday said in a press conference Thursday.

Munday said there has not been evidence of community spread of the virus.
