With FDA approval, legal expert sees "less likelihood for an argument to be made" against mandates

Even before Monday's news of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's full approval of the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, employers both large and small have put in place vaccine mandates for their employees. Legal expert Alreen Haegguist expects to see more vaccine mandates from companies as a result of the FDA's approval news.

Haegguist, managing partner of the law firm Haeggquist & Eck joined Midday Edition on Tuesday to talk about the state of vaccine mandates and the legal questions facing both employers and employees.

"I think we're going to see more mandates come out," Haeqquist said. "Because I think employers are going to be more comfortable pushing them out with the idea that most employees will get them and want to stay."
