Captured Sailors Add to Global Tension with Iran

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced Sunday that Iran will not halt its nuclear program, despite new sanctions adopted by the U.N. Security Council. It also announced that it is partially suspending cooperation with the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency, citing the "illegal and bullying" U.N. Security Council sanctions imposed on the country for its refusal to stop enriching uranium.

A different crisis is brewing between Iran and Great Britain over the 15 British sailors and Royal Marines captured by Iran.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Sunday that the captured sailors were not in Iranian waters, and he warned Tehran that Britain viewed their fate as a "fundamental" issue and very serious matter.
